The world’s 16 best teams compete across 4 pools to determine semi-final winners who ultimately compete for world honours.
Telkom Netball League 2019 to present
Telkom became the new sponsor of the National League with the introduction of 3 new teams. The competition currently has 13 teams from South Africa’s 9 provinces.
Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League 2014-2018
South Africa’s first semi-professional National Netball League featuring the 10 teams from South Africa’s 9 provinces sponsored by the South African Breweries.
SPAR National Championships 2014 to present
Sponsored by SPAR the National Championships is South Africa’s biggest domestic district netball tournament. 52 districts compete with their teams over a week of competition.
Netball Quad Series 2016 to present
Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa make up the top 5 teams in the world and compete twice a year either in Australasia, the UK or South Africa
SPAR Challenge 2016 to present
This tournament takes place in South Africa and normally invites a team from the UK and Africa to compete against South Africa. Previous opponents include England, Scotland, Wales, Uganda, Malawi and Namibia.
Diamond Challenge 2015 to present
This tournament takes place in South Africa and normally invites teams from Africa to compete against South Africa in a round robin series. Teams who’ve competed include Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia.
Africa Netball Cup 2019 to present
The best teams in Africa compete for the title. South Africa has never lost the tournament since its inception.
FAST5 2014 to present
South Africa’s FAST5 netball team compete at the FAST5 Netball World Series in a unique competition - five players to a side, shorter quarters, power plays, and super shots.
Twizza Netball Club Championships 2021 to present
Sponsored by cooldrink manufacturer, Twizza, the championships is South Africa’s biggest domestic club netball championships played across South Africa’s districts to determine who the country’s best male and female club.
